One of the yellow fish in my tank had a dark spot in its body. I figured the fish was pregnant, but didn’t really think much more of it. When I came back from work today, I couldn’t tell the two yellow fish apart. The dark spot was gone. Then I noticed some movement in the rocks below. A tiny speck, a quarter the size of the rocks, was moving. I looked closer. There were baby fish in the tank. If you’ve read anything about fish, you might know that fish eat baby fish, so I separated out the baby fish temporarily in an old peanut container. I am hoping to get an observation container tomorrow, so I can keep the baby fish in the same clean, warm water without worrying about them getting eaten.
The mother fish was yellow. The babies came out black in color. I don’t know much about fish, but I believe there was some jungle fever going on in the pet store fish tank. I wonder what colors the babies will be when they grow up. Does anyone want to start a fish tank? I’ve got a fish making machine!

Well, Andrew got me super excited, and now I have fish in my aquarium. I ended up getting a couple of Chinese Algae Eaters and three pairs of different colored Platies. These damn fish stick together in their pairs by color. I know people always say pets start acting like their owners, but who would have thought my fish could be racist so quickly? If you don’t believe me, check out the picture below.

In the past few weeks, based on conversations with my dad, and putting my beer down long enough to win goldfish at the Arizona State Fair, I have decided to start an aquarium. In fact, this past weekend I went to the local pet store and I bought this 10-gallon setup.

I’ve been having troubles lately with my comments. Whenever quotes and apostrophes are used, it adds a preceding \ character. This is sometimes common for code that has to distinguish between quotes and apostrophes in the comment, versus the same characters in the code. There are ways to strip this out, but since I am using pre-packaged code, I have to hunt it down. Please write a comment and use an apostrophe and a quote, so I can hunt this bug down. So that way I don’t get a flood of comments before I get a chance to look at the code and fix it, please wait until I reply in a comment before adding the next comment. If you know it, please also include your browser, version number, and your operating system.
Edit: I think I’ve figured it out. It seems to be a combination of code and older versions of Firefox. Everyone should be running the latest version of Firefox for security reasons anyway. Please go ahead and add comments to this post just to make sure anyway. Thanks.
Well, another Halloween weekend has come and gone. I told you guys it would be crazy and awesome. I was right again. Spencer, you missed out, or did you? We started off at a party, hosted by one of Desiree’s friends. After a couple hours, we headed over to Barrington to kick off another level of partying. There were shooting stars, Nascar drivers, cowboys, Wayne and Garth, and lots of drinks. Check it out below.

Did anyone notice that I wasn’t online yesterday? That’s because I wasn’t working from the office. I was working, here. That’s right. I was so far out in the middle of nowhere, that even after driving 3.5 hours north, San Francisco is still a 4.5 hour drive away.
I woke up at 5:00 AM to drive out to the Kraft plant. For those of you that do not know, I work with steam and hot water applications, and every single food product is processed using steam and hot water whether it’s making the actual product or cleaning up after the product. This plant was no exception. It is where all the Parmesan cheese is made.

My Chemical Romance has released its latest album, The Black Parade, and let me just say this is a breath of fresh air compared compared to the pop sounds of Panic at the Disco or Fall Out Boy. Music has been pretty stagnant lately. When you have all radio stations playing the same songs, there is definitely a lack of creativity. So, what’s so great about this new album? Well, my personal opinion is that My Chemical Romance has taken their goth rock style and created a rock ballad album. This album is well pieced together. It’s great for background music, and it’s even better when you want to just rock out to some well produced tunes. I’m not completely thrilled with the way the tracks were ordered on this album, but I still have much listening to do. I would still recommend this album for anyone looking for some new music.
The great thing about hosting your own videos is that even if YouTube or Google Video is blocked, these come through just nicely.

First, let me start off by letting everyone know that Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has free WiFi. I am currently sitting at my gate, waiting for my plane. This is just one reason to visit the Phoenix area. Let me share some other reasons.
Friday night, Michelle and I started off at Olive and Ivy. This place is new, and it looks like it’s the new hot spot in Scottsdale. Like everything in Scottsdale, there is a high price tag, but we learned a trick. Ask for some bread to much on when you order drinks. It’s fancy bread with a goose egg for a price. That’s free for those of you that don’t get that phrase.

I’m sorry to keep writing about computers, but it’s what is on my mind. Everyone has listened to an MP3 or some other music file in a digital format. If you haven’t, go kill yourself, because you will never make it in this digital world.
Pretty much everyone is aware that I am a huge fan of Apple Computer. Their applications just work. No matter how advanced the features get, Apple finds a way to design the application so it’s easy to use. iTunes, Apple’s music media player, is no exception. It is available for both Windows and Mac. I recommend that people use this as their default music player. It is robust, intuitively designed, and pretty much just kicks ass.
