About This Site...

This website has gone through many revisions since college but always maintained a spirit of fun. This is where I get to speak my mind, as a child would, spilling my thoughts without filtering them. I'm not likely to say anything profound or moving, but hopefully someone gets some entertainment value out of my ramblings.

About Me...

I'm just your average working class male, although I've held the title Boyfriend of the Year for many years running, and even received the self-assigned title of World's Strongest Billionaire. I enjoy good beer, good food, and good company.

Stolen Credit Card

I got into work this morning and buried my nose in my orders and such, when I received a phone call from Circuit City asking me to confirm an order on an HP laptop I placed on my work credit card. For those of you that don’t know, you shouldn’t be buying laptops from Circuit City unless you want to pay a premium. On top of that there is no way I would be buying an HP laptop, although I do wonder if it was a Vista loaded laptop.

This person put down a ship to address in Long Beach. The credit card is used at a lot of our local vendors, so all it takes is one unscrupulous individual to hang on to the credit card number and try to use it.

Weekend Fun

Michelle and I took a walk around Trump National this weekend. We decided that we had better not try to walk back home drunk from the wedding we will be attending in about a month. It’s not that long of a walk, but walking 3/4 of a mile drunk in the dark might not be such a great idea.

That wasn’t the only thing we discovered. We took a walk down to the beach, where I used to go when I was little. We walked along the rocks and looked the the different living creatures in tide pools.

Just Quirks or OCD?

We all have routines we follow in our daily lives. Some are unique to us. We like to wash body parts in a certain order in the shower, put our clothes on in a certain order, or arrange the things on our desk a certain way. When does it become more than just a way to organize ourselves and become a disorder? For me, my quirks come out when I do something that I do quite often, work on my computer.

My fingernails must be shorter than the tip of my finger. If I notice they are longer than the tip of my finger, I generally stop what I am doing and clip my fingernails. This is not an appearance quirk for me. It’s more utility. If my fingernail extends past the tip of my finger, I have trouble typing. I type based solely on tactile feedback and if my fingernail hits the keys on the keyboard before the tip of my finger, it trips up my fingers.

More Easter Island Goodness

I decided to add another Moai.

Sharkbait! Hoo! Ha! Ha!

I changed up my tank a little bit. I added a blue background to hide the tubing. I removed some of the rocks to expose more of the sand substrate. Then I added some Easter Island Moai. Once the statues get a little dirtier in color, they’re going to look great.

More Benefits of Working for the Man

Riding home in the car on a Tuesday evening, I asked if we could stop by the local Ross. Tuesday nights are 10% off for senior citizens. I’m not sure if this is just the local store, but my dad qualifies for this discount. I picked up a couple of pairs of pants for work, and after I tried them on and was ready to leave, I stumbled across this find.

When I say sake, you say bomb! Sake! Bomb!

This weekend was Desiree’s birthday. We went to Tokyo Delve. They have a website that looks like it was created in the early 90’s. Anyway, this place is mediocre for its food, but it is big on it’s sake bombing. It’s loud and fun.

Benefits of Knowing the Owner

I work for The Man, who also happens to be my dad. Being the boss’ son, a lot is expected of me. I am required to go above and beyond the call of duty. If my skills are able to solve a problem, I am expected to use them, even if it is not in my job description. I’m the IT department, the graphic designer, and I am expected to come up with ideas for operations, sales, and marketing. It’s a lot of work, and it adds up pretty quickly, but there are benefits to being in the family.

I live at home for free. I do get along great with my parents, but the fact that I work for my dad makes it less likely that he will want me out. It just doesn’t make sense. I am his way into the carpool lane. Although sometimes they turn into business meetings, carpool rides are pretty awesome. Once in a while I completely pass out during the drive home.

Welcome to the World of Aquaria

It’s happened again. One of my fish has given birth again to a batch of fry (baby fish). I separated out about eight of them. Does anyone want to start up an aquarium? I will provide the fish. If you don’t want a fish explosion like I have, we can separate out the males from the females beforehand. Come on, people! Aquariums are great to keep in homes, offices, and Chinese restaurants. Get your free fish now!

Life on Easy Street

Well, I have done it. I have tricked my girlfriend into moving back home. Now I coast through life. I will sit in my Lazy Boy chair, while she cooks, cleans, and brings me beer. Unless I somehow brought someone else back home with me from Arizona other than Michelle, those last few statements are probably just far-fetched dreams.
