This website has gone through many revisions since college but always maintained a spirit of fun. This is where I get to speak my mind, as a child would, spilling my thoughts without filtering them. I'm not likely to say anything profound or moving, but hopefully someone gets some entertainment value out of my ramblings.
I'm just your average working class male, although I've held the title Boyfriend of the Year for many years running, and even received the self-assigned title of World's Strongest Billionaire. I enjoy good beer, good food, and good company.
I always said when you expect someone to be online and they are not online, it’s like someone underwater and you’re just waiting for them to come up for air. It sounds completely ridiculous, but you even get the same sense of dread when they don’t appear online for a while. Well, I haven’t been offline, but I haven’t posted in over half a week. That’s a long time for me. I’m back and better than ever, which really is just mediocre.
What causes white hair? I ask because I’ve noticed a lot of white hair on my own head in the past year. My hair has always been pretty light in color, more of a brown than a black. Does the hair color fade and the lighter your hair is, the easier it is to become white? Do white hairs grow back white if pulled? People say white hair makes you look distinguished, even wise. Everyone knows I can’t pull of distinguished. I’m more of a ruggedly handsome kind of guy. The closest thing I’ve come to being wise is being a wise guy.
Their server is getting crushed, no doubt by the flood of virgin computer nerds and Dungeon Masters, but Mashable recently took a survey about which online social network is most likely to get you laid. The results are in, and it’s no surprise that MySpace has come out on top, although I’m sure some of the results here will end up on To Catch a Predator sometime in the near future. I’ve copied the graph below in case you can’t make your way through the swarms of people trying to jump on the bandwagon.
When is the next party? Perhaps I can hit up Michelle’s next work party wearing one of these. Instead of Tequila and Whiskey, I’d be holstering Soju. It’s like an alcoholic utility belt. I would at least have the decency to wear a cowboy hat or sombrero, and I would try to retrofit a bandolero to hold more shot glasses. That wussy belt wouldn’t cut it.
This article has been surfaced on the web in the past couple of days. It notes that the average salary for a woman is 80% of her male counterpart’s salary. I’ve heard various explanations for this gap in salaries, but it makes sense that companies are not willing to put down as large an investment on an employee that may not be around later due to decisions such as marriage and motherhood. Althought not stated in the article, I think men are more likely to hang around as a career is so important in defining a man. Decisions like motherhood are personal choices that employers cannot predict. I suppose the lower pay rate is an employer’s way of dealing with this variable. The fact that variables exist shows that men and women are not equal. That being the case, they should not be treated as such. I’ll leave it at that and see what you guys think.
I’m definitely not a food person, but I thought I’d try my hand at writing about cuisine. Some of us made our way out to Musha after Michelle said she had been wanting to try. Well, it lived up to all the hype that it was given on various restaurant review sites. The food is best described as Japanese Tapas, with a large variety of small dishes. All the food was good, and the variety keeps your tastebuds guessing during the meal so you’re continuously and pleasantly surprised.
I don’t know how many takes it took to get these shots, but these are cool. They should put together an International Beer Pong Tournament. Not only is this guy a Beer Pong expert, he’s a professional skater. Look at what you could have done with your life, and instead you’re sitting at a desk from nine to five.
Since my website is coming up more and more on random Google searches, I will refrain from mentioning too many names. I didn’t know whether to file this post under the Play or Work category. With Michelle’s work, the lines are definitely blurred.
Last night was the 17th anniversary for Michelle’s work. That is a pretty impressive accomplishment and they threw another rooftop party. This one was much bigger than the last one with people everywhere. Again there was no Scotch, so I refrained from rooftop cigars, but there was Soju. Like many events that have open bars, they display a row of their selection of beers and spirits. You can see those below. Well as the night progressed, the boyfriends, fiances, and husbands of the staff ended up with our own bottles of Soju in hand. River Dance, The Robot, and The Cabbage Patch were just some of the dances that made an appearance, and I think I did them all. It was a lot of fun, and a good night was capped off with a great Korean meal on the company tab. I’m fighting to stay awake now. It was totally worth it.
I have traveled out of the country twice in the past half year on vacation. Before this, I have never been out of the country, excluding Mexico, Canada, and the Bahamas. I figured watching Discovery Channel, History Channel, and reading Wikipedia was enough for me. I could see the world without getting off of my couch. That is certainly not how I feel anymore. I want to see the world. Here is my list of a few trips I want to take still. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
London/Wales/Scotland
Thailand/Hong Kong
The rest of the UK
Paris/Madrid
Eastern coast of Mexico
Australia
Ladies, I found a secret sale going on right now. A friend of mine told me about these hot new jeans that are on sale. Buy a pair for your mom too. They’re great. Check them out here.
Let’s never stop talking about China. It’s the most exciting thing I’ve done in a while and I will not have it taken away from me. Michelle sent me this article. Although my lack of understanding of Chinese language doesn’t allow me to gauge the swearing, spitting and not waiting in lines is definitely a problem there.
My family has never been one to take off its shoes when entering our own home. We only taken them off when we get tired of wearing our shoes or step onto carpet. I know almost all other Asian families take their shoes off in the house, and I never really understood why. I now get it. They take off their shoes, because they are covered with spit. It’s not just that there is spit everywhere that is gross. It’s the sound they make before they spit. They really hork up the phlegm.
