Free Food & Drinks: What a Life!
I went to one of the famous “events” that Michelle’s work has a few times a year. It was for a golf tournament for Korean LPGA players held on top of The Mercury, overlooking Los Angeles. It was freezing twenty four floors up on the roof, but free drinks and free food can never be passed up.
Kabuki catered the event with some chicken that ended up being more like jerky, but the sushi was really good. For drinks Michelob is the official sponsor of the LPGA Tour, so they supplied the beers. They got Double White Vodka to be the sponsor as well. I’m not a big fan of vodka, so this didn’t do much for me. I also asked a few of Michelle’s coworkers, “How can Koreans have an event without Scotch?”
Since people had to play golf this morning, I don’t think anyone was going too heavy on the drinks, but I’ve heard tales of these events getting out of hand. I can’t wait for more events, because I am cheap and love to be fed. Check out some of the pictures from the night.
