More Fishy Goodness
I got some new lighting for my large tank. They are designed to emulate natural sunlight for plant growth. I don’t have a picture of that yet, but the light fixture comes with moon lighting as well. It looks pretty cool and when these lights are on with the room lights off, the fish are completely unaware anything else is going on in the room. Most of the fish float in sleep, while the nocturnal fish rummage the bottom for food.
Here is my tank under moon lighting. It looks a lot better and brighter in person.
Here is my goldfish barrel. I haven’t showed too many photos of this setup. It’s complete with water lilies. These plants grow so fast with no care. This barrel is about three feet deep and each stem grows from the very bottom. Two weeks ago, there were three lily pads on top of the water. I figure each stem grows about three inches a day. They’re great, because they handle the waste the fish create, while adding shade and oxygen for the fish. So far the raccoons haven’t eaten any of the fish.
