Planted Aquarium Tanks
It’s been almost a year now since I started into my aquarium hobby. Normally I’d be bored with new things I learn, but there are so many different things to learn with aquariums. I started with the fish. Then I learned about the other critters in the tank, like shrimp, crayfish, clams, and snails. I am currently learning about planted aquariums, learning about the different types of plants and how to aquascape them.

This is the jungle look. It’s a bit much as it gets hard to see the fish on the bottom.

I like how this tank looks like there are mountains rising up from the landscape.

This is a great example of ground cover. The tank is simple and clean.

This guy is my planted aquarium hero. Takashi Amano.

This is the picture of the tank from the US store’s website. Crazy.

Just another gorgeous tank.

At first, before i read any of the text, I saw the pictures and thought to myself, “Self, Matt’s tanks are pretty cool. You always thought his fish tank hobby was pretty geeky, but his tanks are turning out to be bad ass. He could open his own aquarium and start charging people to look at his fish tanks.” Then I realized they were just pictures of other people’s fish tanks… new depths of nerdiness. But, dude, if you can get your tanks to look like any of those your coolness level will be off the charts.

Yeah, I’m working on getting there.
This is the best I have right now. I have some different types of plants coming to me in the mail next week.
