About This Site...

This website has gone through many revisions since college but always maintained a spirit of fun. This is where I get to speak my mind, as a child would, spilling my thoughts without filtering them. I'm not likely to say anything profound or moving, but hopefully someone gets some entertainment value out of my ramblings.

About Me...

I'm just your average working class male, although I've held the title Boyfriend of the Year for many years running, and even received the self-assigned title of World's Strongest Billionaire. I enjoy good beer, good food, and good company.

Another Birthday Weekend

There are lots of birthdays in the December and January months. This weekend was no different. We went out to celebrate Annie’s and Tim’s birthdays. We started out at Barney’s for some good beer and bar food. Afterwards we met up with Tim at the ice skating rink for some broomballing. It’s like being in high school church group all over again. It was a lot of fun, but all of us were bitching about how late we stayed out. We’re all getting older.

You Suck at Photoshop

Maybe it’s that you suck at life. Some very creative person has created these Photoshop tutorials for YouTube that are much less tutorial, and more like pathetic misery sessions. They’re well monologued and hilariously well done. Some of the dialog is not safe for work, so break out the headphones and have a blast.

Moving On Up…to the East Side

I guess because it’s a peninsula, the rest of Palos Verdes is actually further west than where I currently live, even though I’m right along the coast. I digress. My parents just bought a new home. The home is really nothing spectacular to speak of really. My parents liked the view. Since my mom recently retired, she has been spending more time at home, and I think she’s tired of our peekaboo view. She wanted a real view.

The whole transaction happened rather quickly. The house just listed, and my parents saw it Saturday. Sunday their bid was in, and three days later their offer was accepted.

More On the Environment

For those of you that drive hybrid vehicles, I commend you for taking a step to reduce emissions, but how can you afford it? I took a glance at hybrid vehicle prices and you’d have to drive one for fifteen years before you made your money back in gas you didn’t buy. It’s totally impractical. On top of the high initial cost, there are two engines to maintain instead of just one, which means more dollars spent. I have a feeling going green is only for those that aren’t worried about losing green.

I’ve also seen hydrogen vehicles around. I don’t know much about them other than that their exhaust contains water. Since water vapor is the most abundant greenhouse gas, doesn’t that pose a problem too, or is the liquid form down on the ground alright? If we’re taking hydrogen from water, isn’t that depleting our water sources, a whole other environmental issue?

My Plan to Succeed in Life

Most people work hard and excel above the rest of the crowd. Unfortunately I am not smart or talented enough to do this. Instead I will knock everyone down to my level. I give you, 101 Free Games! While you are busy playing these games, I will be doing a mediocre job, but your inattentive performance will pale in comparison to my lackluster performance.

Another Birthday Celebration

This Saturday Ariane had her birthday celebration at The Edison. I am still recovering from my cold, so I refrained from drinking, unlike some other people who couldn’t make it out. Just like I thought, the night totally sucked being sober. Just kidding. It was cool getting out to see people after being couped up for a while. The birthday girl swears a lot when she’s drunk.

American Ninja: A Laughable Concept.

I’m sure most of you are aware that the 1980’s was a big time for action movies, especially ones that dealt martial arts. So in order to feed the hunger for martial arts movies, American stars were coming out from everywhere to star in these films. One of the most notable ones that spun off multiple sequels was the American Ninja movie.

How About Personal Days?

Michelle: You need to be nicer to me.
Me: Come on! I’m sick!
Michelle: You were sick all last week already.
Me: What? I used up all my sick days?
Michelle: Yes.

I wonder if I can save them up and roll them over to next year if I don’t use them, or maybe I can just cash them out at the end of the year. Also, am I allowed to call in sick when we’re invited somewhere together and then stay home and play video games?

WWW…what?

UCLA has fired coaches that don’t meet up to its historical athletic excellence. In recent years with the help of the Internet, UCLA fans have expressed their desire to get rid of coaches with poor performance records. Domains like loselavin.com, firetoledo.com, and firedorrell.com have been used to oust these coaches. UCLA’s newest football coach, Rick Neuheisel, will be much harder to get rid of in this same manner. No one is going to know how to spell his name. Can you imagine trying to type www.fireneuheisel.com into a browser? I just hope he is a sorely needed gem of a coach, but I don’t want to have to find that website. Go Bruins!
