About This Site...

This website has gone through many revisions since college but always maintained a spirit of fun. This is where I get to speak my mind, as a child would, spilling my thoughts without filtering them. I'm not likely to say anything profound or moving, but hopefully someone gets some entertainment value out of my ramblings.

About Me...

I'm just your average working class male, although I've held the title Boyfriend of the Year for many years running, and even received the self-assigned title of World's Strongest Billionaire. I enjoy good beer, good food, and good company.

Procrastination at Work

I have an addiction, and I’m sure many of you share this same addiction. The Internet is far too entertaining. With YouTube, Digg, Facebook, and many other sites, it’s hard to get stuff done. There are days I hardly get anything done. Those days I call weekdays. I kid. It doesn’t take much for us to admit that we all waste time at work when there is Internet available. As long as you’re being honest with yourself (and use Firefox), you can also fix your problem.

For those of you that don’t have access to enable content filtering on your firewall, you can install Leechblock, a Firefox extension which allows you to create a list of websites and set time restraints on when you can access them. You can even lock yourself out of the options during the time restraints. This still doesn’t stop you from disabling the extension or opening Safari, but it’s a start. If everyone installed this and used it during work, we could probably pull our economy out of the hole.

Internet Findings

On my usual rounds on the Internet, I have stumbled across some gems as usual. None of them are related to each other, so away we go with the hodge-podge of discoveries.

Let’s start with bad idea inventions. Every boy dreams of his robot protector, but this has got to be the worst Transformer ever. Being bullied at school? You need…a calculator! That’s just going to get bullies to kick your ass even more. It’s about as useful as this firetruck that is bound to cause more fires flying down down the road.

Apple Laptops vs. Everything Else

In the past half decade, Apple has made leaps and bounds and gained lots of popularity, starting with its iMacs and followed by the ever popular iPod. People are starting to wonder whether they should purchase an Apple computer for their next laptop. If you are willing to spend the time to learn a new system, then you should go for it.

The first question that comes up in people’s minds when looking at Apple laptops is, “Why are the things so expensive?” The short answer is quality. You are not comparing apples to apples, no pun intended.
