About This Site...

This website has gone through many revisions since college but always maintained a spirit of fun. This is where I get to speak my mind, as a child would, spilling my thoughts without filtering them. I'm not likely to say anything profound or moving, but hopefully someone gets some entertainment value out of my ramblings.

About Me...

I'm just your average working class male, although I've held the title Boyfriend of the Year for many years running, and even received the self-assigned title of World's Strongest Billionaire. I enjoy good beer, good food, and good company.

Just Like College, But Less Booze

I have a deadline to finish up this report for an energy assessment survey that we did for a customer, and I’m up late and just ready to give up for the night. Fortunately I have the ability to skip out on work in the morning to finish up this report. It’s like just skipping out on my 8:00 AM classes, so you can finish up the project for the 1:00 PM class, not realizing you are digging yourself into a hole for the early class as well. I thought the days of having this feeling of adrenaline mixed in with despair were long gone with college.

It seems like just yesterday I was awake in the dorms, delirious and struggling to finish my C++ program and noticing that everyone else online was also trying to finish the same project. Those were good times. Now I must sleep, because in the real world there is no AP (academic probation) or STD (subject to dismissal). There is only fired.

UCLA is China Man Friendly

Well, we have Norm Chow working as our offensive coordinator. This might be a slap in the face for USC, but it’s not for Pete Carroll. The two never got along really. So how did UCLA pick up Norm Chow?

He was recently fired from his job with the NFL team, the Tennessee Titans. He wasn’t NFL material, but he has a proven track record for college football. That makes him a good candidate for UCLA’s restructured football program. On top of that, Norm Chow still has a 2-year contract, worth more than 1 million dollars a season. Whatever the difference is between what Chow is owed on the contract and  UCLA pays, the Titan franchise still has to pay. UCLA can pay Chow next to nothing for two years and have him on board. Thanks, Titans!

Good Time for College Sports, Indifferent on Professional

It’s not over yet, but if Major League Baseball heads into a World Series with Colorado and Cleveland, no one is going to care. No one from the west coast is going to root for Colorado, and no one from the east coast is going to root for Cleveland.

In the NBA, the eastern conference has teams coming up as potential powerhouses, and Kobe is still complaining. No one cares.
