My website dates back before WordPress ever existed. It also goes back before most people knew about the term blog. I did all of my website design by hand, and most of my coding was my own too, with bits and pieces stolen from Kyung. I’d like to think that since I introduced him to WordPress, we’re even. I used to use UCLA’s bandwidth before I bought this domain and server space, hiding my website on UCLA Economics’ server. I was looking through some of my old archives and bringing back old memories. I can barely stomach my writing back then, but here are a few gems I came across.

This is much more comprehensive than the Chicktionary. The little black book has gotten an upgrade. Behold the Chickipedia!
I don’t think the overspeculation of the housing market is all that is to blame for our recent economic downturn. It’s not just our foreign relations and declining dollar value. I’m pretty sure each of us is to blame for the recession by not working hard enough. Why aren’t we working? Facebook. How can you get anything done with this website around? It’s got Scrabulous and my latest productivity killer is Tetris Friends. Load this up and give me a challenge. Let the old people that aren’t on Facebook worry about the economy.
I decided that in order to further my photographic career, I would have to push myself to become better. I would have to show off my successes and more importantly, my failures. That is why I created a photo blog. My Picasa gallery is where I publish lots of pictures to tell a story, without regard for the quality of the pictures: a point a shoot bonanza. This photo blog will be my photos that I think showcase some positive ability in my photo taking, as well as show my room for improvement. I’m just getting started, so please feel free to check back as I will be adding more in the future.
On a more technical note, the theme I am using for the photo blog is Monotone. It’s a very cool theme. The theme resizes the image on the fly and resizes its own boundaries dynamically to match it. The dimensions aren’t the only thing done automatically. The background color of the theme is done based off a sampling of the photo in the post.
I’ve update my site design, thanks to theme designer Adii. This makes my site a little more personal now that I’ve got my ugly mug up top. The polaroids on top rotate randomly. Let me know what you guys think. I’ll be fiddling around with it for a little while I’m sure, so let me know what’s broken and what can be improved.
Congratulations to MichelleWoo.com! Yesterday marked one year of excellent, entertaining blogging. How do I know it has been a year? For a short time yesterday Michelle’s website displayed a message that her hosting had expired. I forgot to check my domain’s email so we could pay the bill. Some quick maneuvering and the site is back up in all its greatness.
This marks one of a few websites under the Moron Enterprises banner. That’s right. Like it or not, when I set up a website for you, you automatically become an ashamed member of the Moron Enterprises family. Other sites include Love the Wang and Box of Water.
I’m sure most of you that visit this site regularly do not pay attention to anything other than the main content. It’s the same for myself. I did happen to click on my ClustrMaps today and noticed I have a few holes in my visitor’s locations. Antarctica doesn’t even show up on the map, but I’m sure the visitors are zero to few. It is my goal to get Moron Enterprises known on every continent. We’re going global!
Antarctica and Africa could be tough. I don’t believe there is a high concentration of Internet users on either of these continents as lions and penguins don’t have Internet access. Maybe if I write about Antarctica’s research stations or South Africa’s nature reserves, I will pop onto someone’s radar.

It’s been over a month since I’ve written anything about my fish. No, I haven’t given up on the hobby. Things are just as addicting as ever. I even have some new arrivals showing up in the mail in the next day or two. So if I’m still obsessed with fish keeping, why am I not sharing my joy?
I actually bought another domain dedicated to my fish keeping hobby. I don’t know yet if that means I will spare you my fish stories here. I may just duplicate my entries. Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to present to you, Box of Water! Although most of you aren’t into fish like I am, let me know what you guys think.
I added a plugin that should help the front page load faster. It shrinks down my long posts to a first paragraph and gives you a link to read more. This way all the posts with pictures won’t load on the front page. Just don’t forget to click to read the rest of the post. That’s where the good stuff is located. This plugin will also allow to me post material that is NSFW and give a warning to you before you open the post.
I installed a widget for my website to hide ads from regular viewers. Rather than waste resources displaying ads to regular readers, who are unlikely to click on the ads, I have chosen to hide them. Most of you probably won’t even notice as you use some form of Adblock whether you’re on Internet Explorer or Firefox. If you’re not using any built-in browser ad blocking, you shouldn’t see ads as long as the computer you are using sees my website a couple times a week. You’ll still see the title bar for the ads, but the ads should not show up. Let me know if you run into any bugs.
