1. Invite guy friends over, but don’t tell them what you’re doing.
2. Confuse them when your fiance is sitting in front of the computer when they show up.
3. Confuse them even further when you and your carpool buddy are the only two that are showing up.
4. Throw them off by telling them you’re starting a boy band.
5. Get uncharacteristically serious with guy friends and ask them to be in the wedding party.
This was my week. Spencer invited me over for dinner but said it wasn’t an open invite, and it was going to be guys only. I immediately assumed it was something wedding related, and my suspicions got further confirmed when I found out Fred was going. There was a lull in the number of weddings I had to attend recently, but it looks like it is picking back up again. Last night I went to a wedding for Michelle’s high school friend, Shivani. Both the bride and the groom are of Indian descent, so the wedding was done in what I would have to assume is traditional style. They had a doctor that specializes in marriages fly all the way from Toronto to marry them.

I was lying in bed and overheard this conversation while my mom was on the phone with my brother, apparently discussing his upcoming wedding guest list.
Mom: “No, they’re on your list. You take them.”
*Mike Responds*
Mom: “You told me they were on your list. They’re not on my list. I’m not inviting them.”
*Mike Responds*
Mom: “You told me that Matt and Michelle were going to be on your list. If you don’t invite them, they’re not coming.”

This weekend was Tiffany and Ivan’s wedding in San Francisco. I flew out Friday night after work. It took me such a long time to get the airport in the rain. I was so frustrated with all the traffic that I decided to treat myself to a first class seat on one of Virgin America’s new planes. I made my money back on free drinks, six on the plane, and one to go.
